Video surfaces of controversial Dubai 24 crash

Cressoni was leading the race at the time of the collision.

Martinsson was transported to a local hospital, suffering several fractures in the impact. The collision took place during the Dubai 24 Hours and resulted in the suspension of the Scuderia Praha Ferrari team

Scuderia Praha has been suspended from the next event (Hankook 12 Hours of Italy-Mugello) following several incidents, culminating with an avoidable collision during this weekend’s season-opening Hankook 24 Hours of Dubai.

"Two wrecked cars and one injured driver later, we can only say that we hope Matteo learns from this, since he did not learn from previous crashes. To drive on purpose outside the track is stricktly forbidden, but it did not stop Cressoni. By analysing the TV broadcasting, Cressoni was under stress leading, having second in the race closing the gap every lap, which probably made him make such disastrous decision.

"This was not the only time the Scuderia Ferrari drove outside track on purpose. Several drivers witnessed same thing. This happened with (roughly half the race) to go, not on the last lap. There is a difference in skills between such drivers as Schneider or Stippler and drivers like Cressoni. The first two would never take such a arrogant decision. Too fast a car for a too unskilled driver."
