British American Tobacco wanted to promote both 555 and Lucky Strike brands in F1. So it decided to have different liveries for both its cars. Unfortunately, the FIA regulations stipulate that a team's cars should carry largely the same livery, forcing BAR to merge both designs and create something truly odd.
