Hungarian GP statistics: Hamilton reigns again at Hungaroring

All the Formula 1 statistics and figures from the Hungarian Grand Prix, won by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton amassed his 77th F1 pole in qualifying. With 7 poles at Hungaroring, he has now equalled Michael Schumacher's record. Also, Hamilton's Hungaroring pole marked 74th for Mercedes as a constructor and 177th as an engine supplier.

On Sunday, Hamilton secured his 67th F1 win, taking Mercedes' tally to 81 as a constructor and 167 as an engine supplier.

Hamilton has now won the Hungarian GP six times, making him the most successful F1 driver at the Hungaroring.

The Briton also became only the second driver in F1 history to win three Grands Prix six times (Hungary, Canada, US). Schumacher has scored six race wins in seven different countries (France, Canada, San Marino, Belgium, Spain, Japan and Europe).

The 33-year-old has now converted 43 pole positions into victories.

The Hungarian GP marked Hamilton's 110th race as a Mercedes driver. He raced for McLaren for exactly 110 races before joining Mercedes.

The gap between race winner Hamilton and second-placed Sebastian Vettel was 17.123 seconds at the chequered flag, the second largest of the 2018 season after the Spanish GP (20.593s). The smallest one of the year was between Vettel and Valtteri Bottas in Bahrain (0.699s).

With its 81st win at Budapest, Mercedes has now scored the same number of wins as Lotus (including the original Team Lotus and the squad that ran under the same name from 2010)

With second position, Vettel equalled Alain Prost's tally of 106 podiums.

As for Raikkonen, it was his 99th career podium and ninth in Hungary, the latter being a record.

The Finn is on a streak of five podium finishes for the first time since 2007, when he finished inside the top three in all races between Hungary and Brazil.

Ricciardo set the fastest lap of the race, a 1m20.012s, but it was still a second slower than what Schumacher managed in 2004 (1m19.071s).

It was the 60th fastest lap for Red Bull, allowing it to match Mercedes's tally.
