Hungarian Grand Prix driver ratings

This was race that showcased the best and worst of Formula 1, producing a first time winner and a memorable comeback to a podium finish. Avoiding trouble at the start and astute strategy calls were key to success, but where some drivers took full advantage, others made key errors that cost them dearly

Esteban Ocon – 10

No way he'd miss the maximum after that weekend. Beat Alonso in Q3 then took his chance at a maiden race win in amazing style. Was aided by the first corner shenanigans but did everything right thereafter. Managed his tyre degradation nicely and pulled a handy gap to Vettel before the stops even while fuel-saving. Only being uncomfortable in dirty air when lapping traffic made him look vulnerable.
