In an F1 used to firing engineers for cause, to change team principals and to continuously move technicians, Mercedes is once again a pioneer of a new management method for those technical resources, those excellences that makes it a winning squad.
From the 1st of July - F1 technical director James Allison, in charge since 2017, will leave the office to Mike Elliot, a Mercedes F1 team member since 2012.

The 2021 work program really started in Jerez de la Frontera last February using always the SF90 mule modified in suspensions and floor to recreate downforce values of the next seasons future wing cars.

The last seven years of Sebastian Vettel's career could be summed up in a single slogan: “Failed attempt at rebirth”. At least for now.
