F1 2015 - Grand Prix of Malaysia - Hardest Braking Point
The hardest braking point on the Sepang International Circuit lies ahead of turn 1. After the long straight the Formula One drivers have to brake hard, slowing by 239 km/h over just 142 metres in under 1.6 seconds. The calculated braking energy here is 2,800 kW. The driver is subjected to 5.4 G and yet has to push with 155 kg onto the brake.
