Honda brought its first engine upgrade of the 2019 Formula 1 season to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, putting it out of step with its rivals who are unlikely to introduce a new specification before the Canadian GP in June. Scott Mitchell and Tom Errington join Glenn Freeman to explain why Honda went early with its first update of the season, if the rumours about a significant performance step are true, and why this could in fact enable Honda to bring an additional fourth spec later in the year to accelerate its development for 2020.
