DUNCAN TAPPY PROVES HIS PACE IN FIA FORMULA TWO

Duncan spent Friday and Saturday testing with Formula Two at the Portimao circuit in Portugal to experience the car and championship as a potential 2010 opportunity. He immediately liked the 400bhp Williams F1 designed car and hit the track running at or near the top of the time sheets for the test.

The two days, comprised of three sessions each, with the final session of each day incorporating the overboost, were ultra-competitive with the top six separated by less than two-tenths of a second by the end of the tests. Throughout the sessions Duncan was consistently in the front runners. On Friday afternoon he spent a big chunk of the session in third and in the final boosted session he was sitting in second until he was pipped by less than two tenths of a second in the final minutes and ended the final session on Saturday in fourth place.

Formula Two made its debut in 2009 producing very competitive racing in identical cars with an excellent commercial package including support on the FIA World Touring Car programme and live Eurosport TV coverage.

Duncan Tappy "I really enjoyed the two days and learnt a lot about the car and the championship .I feel confident in the car and my own ability to deliver results. It's definitely a car I'd love to compete in next season so now we need to focus on raising funds and getting there."
