Baguette third in the G.P. Barcelona free practice
Twentythree drivers on track for the first day of free practice before the 2 races in the Montmelo circuit this weekend with the championship World Series by Renault. During the morning the two drivers of Draco Team went on track with almost 20 laps per head, looking for the best setup of the cars.
The Belgian Bertrand Baguette began very well the three days of competition gaining excellent results: fourth in the first round and third in the afternoon with 1'34 "221. The driver, at the second year with the Draco Team, has big goals for the season. "I have matured during my two years in World Series by Renault - said Baguette - I learnt a lot during last season with Draco Racing. It's a very good school of motorsport and I hope it'll help me to win races this year in World Series. I improved my way of drive to be faster on one lap in qualification which was a problem last year. I want to fight for pole position and victory! "
In the circuit of Catalunya there is with Draco Team also a son of the Spanish land, Marco Barba, who, after the debut in Formula Renault 3.5 last year, begins this season with great determination. "The winter testing went very well - Barba says - and I'm very optimistic. I think I have gained the experience needed to remain amongst the first places. The car is perfect and I am ready to tackle the season."
Tomorrow morning, Saturday 18 April, the drivers will compete for Qualifying from 9.00 to 11.00 and then they will face the first race of the championship at 13:48. The race will be broadcast live from the international channel Eurosport, available on Sky.
