Dangerous rain in Barcelona with many crashes make a bitter pill despite the excellent qualifying of Baguette. Tomorrow, however, the Belgian will start 6th.
Qualifying
The sky is overcast, the weather forecasting concern, and the Team prefers to use rain tires for the first session of qualifying, when in track there are both Draco drivers. Marco Barba immediately first, but after few time there is the red flag. The drivers start again, and Baguette win the first position. The track was wet and for the rookie Barba is not easy to do a perfect lap. For a few cents he loses the possibility to enter in Superpole and he ends in seventh position in his group. Baguette, very fast, conquer the second position. At the end of 20 minutes expected, the drivers are given the change in track and the group B enter, advantaged from better conditions of the asphalt.
The Superpole
11.30 o'clock: the downpour. The 12 drivers entered in Superpole leave the box to search for the best time, but the rain is pouring, visibility very low, the runway flooded. A few laps and immediately red flag for the inevitable crashes, three drivers already out. Baguette back in the box unharmed with the desire to make the pole. The commissioners do the start, but the conditions do not seem to improve. The rain makes the track too dangerous and Superpole is canceled. Exceptionally, it was decided that the time valid remain those make in qualifying: in pole the first in Group A and at his side the first in the group B. Baguette conquest the third position, behind the poleman.
The Race
In early afternoon the weather seem much improved and, despite some clouds, it does not rain. Good start for both Draco drivers. Baguette recover some position and he is in 4th place, Barba, started from the thirteenth position, he passes 8th before the enter of the safety car for a few crashes on track. The race there is good, the car is perfect and the two drivers remain focused on winning positions. When the safety car comes out, Baguette is ready, but the driver before him slows unexpectedly. For the Belgian there is no way out and he bangs against Jousse breaking the front. Sadly the race is ended, once again for the misfortune on track. All eyes are now on Barba, sixth. Nearly a dozen drivers are already out of the race, given the difficult of the driving conditions. Also Marco go out and he lost several positions. To keep the car in trajectory he is forced to sudden movements of the wrist and he accuses much pain. At the end of the race he is 16th. A race marked by bad conditions of the track and many crashes.
