BARCELONA: STEFANO COLETTI ENDS THE SEASON WITH THE SIXTH PLACE IN THE CLASSIFICATION

The World Series by Renault ends with the sixth place in the classification for Stefano Coletti, author of a tenth and a fifth place in the ending round at Barcelona.

On Saturday, the young driver from Monaco obtained the sixteenth place of the grid (1'35.707) in qualifying run with the low-downforce configuration prescribed by regulations. His recovery in race one ended afterwards with the tenth place under the chequered flag.

The performance was better in the second qualifying, wet by rain, and Coletti was author of the seventh fastest time (1'57.807). The driver for team Comtec subsequently recovered two places in a wet race two crossing the finish line in fifth position.

The final classification of the championship sees Coletti finishing sixth at 76 points, just two short of the fourth place.

"A overall positive season whereby I harvested five podiums reached its conclusion. Unfortunately, Saturdays with the low-downforce configuration made us experience some difficulties in several occasions and this unavoidably influenced the final classification. The team have done a great work throughout the year and I'd like to personally thank the whole team Comtec".
