ISR Racing experiences great weekend at Silverstone

Once again, ISR Racing won't forger the past weekend easily. On the British Silverstone track, hosting the penultimate round of the 2010 World Series Renault 3.5, the Czech squad scored an unprecedented roll of great results. The team's highly-professional performance joined the great show put on by drivers Esteban Guerrieri and Filip Salaquarda. The Argentinean won both races, despite losing Race 1 shortly after for being disqualified. Due to a team's mistake, the stewards excluded him after having found a piece of tape joining two body parts. Guerrieri rebounded on the following day as he cruised to a stunning victory, heading a fiery duel with Daniel Ricciardo. By maximizing his effort, he kept title hopes alive, as the championship approaches the final round of 2010, set for October 9, 10 at Barcelona. Salaquarda run great too, in one of the best weekends of his World Series career so far. He scored a 5th and a 4th place, and proved fast other than reliable. Aleshin is currently topping the charts (116 points), followed by Ricciardo (113) and Guerrieri (100). ISR Racing increased its margin in the team's standings in 2nd place.

Igor Salaquarda - Team Principal

"This week end in Silverstone has been, for ISR and specially for me, a race week end of extraordinary pathos. In a positive way, of course, as the team and the drivers obtained on the track a very good result on the Saturday and Sunday's race, apart from the exclusion from the race 1 classification, which is a more than correct decision in accordance with the Championship rules. We made a small mistake, with huge consequences. I would firstly thanks my guys for all their efforts on the track since before the season start, underlining that we are on our first year in this beautiful and difficult championship organized by Renault and RPM.I would also like to thanks Esteban Guerrieri, an extraordinary racer that is fighting thousands of battles for his career and that gave a paramount contribution to ISR success. He lost a victory gained on-track, due a correct appliance of the rules, as I said, but tough to be accepted by a man who is looking to the possible loss of all his sacrifice and commitment. In any case, Guerrieri is the moral winner of the Championship, taking into account that he missed the single race in Monaco, the double race in Budapest and race 1 in Silverstone which he won. Last but not least, I would like to congratulate Tech 1, that presented a protest against us to the scrutineers, obtaining Guerrieri's exclusion from the race: it was in their rights to do so, being into the title fight with use. We in ISR Racing would have never presented that protest, being used to win or not but sportingly on the track."to playing our cards until the last lap of the last race."
