Promising test for Facu Regalia at Mugello
Facu Regalia showed his potential again in the Formula 3 Italia field and ended today's test at Mugello as the ninth fastest, signing the best lap among the rookies, repeating his performance from Vallelunga.
The Spanish-Argentinean driver was today, for the second time, testing with Prema Junior and was very pleased with the way the day evolved, after completing eighty-one laps in the Italian circuit.
Facu Regalia was, after four sessions, the ninth fastest overall and the best rookie. "It's a good result but I think that I could improve it. Mugello is a spectacular circuit, better than I was told, and it's amazing for the eyes. However, for the drivers that didn't know its layout, it's a difficult circuit to learn at the beginning", said the eighteen years old driver.
In the second session, which was held in the morning, Facu Regalia was in the fourth position on the screens, faster than his experienced teammate. But "we made some modifications in the set-up, so we could improve the car, but they didn't work well. With the last set of tyres the car was understeering badly and just in a corner I was losing half a second". The Spanish-Argentinean youngster ended, adding: "besides, my best lap wasn't perfect, I think I could improve it half a second, so I could be closer to my teammate, Edoardo Liberati, who was the fastest of the day".
After another good day in the office, Facu Regalia leaves Italy better prepared for the future and to decide what to do next season.
