Piccione secures GP2 Test with Arden.
GP2 prospect Clivio Piccione will test for 2004 F3000 Championship Winning Team, Arden International at Snetterton on Monday, 18th October, as part of the teams driver evaluation programme for next seasons GP2 Championship. After a strong season with Carlin Motorsport in the British F3 Championship, Clivio Piccione is one of the front runners for a seat in the newly formed GP2 series.
'I want to do GP2 next year. The opportunity to test with Arden is outstanding. We are currently working on securing a budget and I am excited to be able to drive Arden's 2004 F3000 Championship winning car. '
Commenting on Arden's decision to give Clivio Piccione a test, Managing Director Christian Horner said:
"I have watched Clivio Piccione's progress with interest this year and was very impressed with his race wins at Donnington Park. I believe Clivio has what it takes to succeed in GP2."
GP2 is recognised as the natural formulae for drivers wishing to step into Formula One.
