Pelletier to Asian BMW this weekend
Maxime Pelletier will represent Gelles Racing in the last five Formula BMW Asia rounds, starting this weekend in China. The first outings for Maxime will be a double header linked to the Formula One program in Shanghai. The other three will be two weeks later in Zhuhai, a facility the Champ Car World Series will visit next year.
''Maxime will enjoy his experience in China, comments Gelles. Our engineers and mechanics will be there and I believe the young Canadian will live up to our expectations. Third in the Rookie standings in Formula BMW USA, he always ran strong and learned a lot in his first open wheel season, gaining momentum which established him as a front runner in the last events.
This new venture to Asia will gain Maxime the added confidence to do well at the BMW World Finals in Valencia, Spain in November."
