Facu Regalia is 4th with the podium just ahead
Facu Regalia ended the second Formula BMW Europe race at Circuit de Catalunya in the fourth position, four tenths short of the second place, adding some good points to his tally.
The Spanish-Argentinean driver started from third, but he didn't start well, as he admitted. "I didn't react well to the lights and that moment was enough to be overtaken by one of my contenders", said the eighteen years old driver after the race. Facu Regalia was in the third classified driver back for the rest of the race, but his car had a nervous handling, which prevented him from attacking the lower step of the podium.
"The car wasn't good enough, because it was losing too much grip in the front end. I couldn't prepare in the best way the turns' entries and to try to overtake. I almost succeed to get the third place, with three laps to go, when I dive in the Jack Harvey's inside, but he was able to regain his position in the same corner", underlined with some frustration the Eifelland Racing driver, that saw the chequered flag just four tenths behind the second placed driver.
After today's race, Facu Regalia is already looking ahead and to the Zandvoort meeting, that will be held at June 5th and 6th. Before, he will have four days of testing at Hungaroring and at Hockenheim, something that will allow him to keep working with Eifelland Racing in the car's handling. "I'm going to work hard. We have to take some positive notes of this weekend, as we scored some good points for the Championship and I won't be depressed to fail to reach the Barcelona podium", underlined a determined young driver.
