Facu Regalia fights for the 5th
Facu Regalia had today a difficult race at Silverstone and ended in the 5th position of the Formula BMW Europe field, after reaching the third position in the first lap. Nevertheless, he scored some good points.
The Spanish-Argentinean driver started very well from the fourth position of the grid and was third in the first lap. However, he had some troubles with his car and ended the eleven laps race in the fifth place. "I reacted very well to the lights and that allowed me to overtake Carlos Sainz during the first lap and reach the third position. I started to give the maximum but, unfortunately, I was losing time to the guys ahead", said the eighteen years old driver, that began to feel problems in his car after the first half of the race: "the drivers that were on my back started to put pressure on me since the third lap. The car was oversteering, as it happened yesterday, and it was a question of time until they overtake me".
After eleven laps, Facu Regalia saw the chequered flag in the fifth position, the best of the Eifelland Racing drivers, and scored some more points to the championship. In the tomorrow's race he expects "to start as well as I started today. I'll be again in the fourth place of the grid, so my sights are on the podium. Though, it will be a hard race, where everything can happen".
The second Formula BMW Europe race of the British Grand Prix will start in the afternoon, after the Formula 1 race, and will have eleven laps.
