FORMULA BMW EUROPE: KEVIN FRIESACHER AND RIO HARYANTO WILL RACE FOR SCUDERIA COLONI IN MONZA

Scuderia Coloni is ready to race in the eighth round of Formula BMW in Europe next weekend. The team, directed by Paolo Coloni, will face its home race with a whole new driver line-up, which shows the team's ability to choose the best young talents among the drivers who race in the mass of introductory championships around the world.

For the race weekend at the Autodromo Nazionale, in Monza, Scuderia Coloni will field Austrian Kevin Friesacher and Indonesian Rio Haryanto. Kevin's brother is Patrick Friesacher, who made his debut in Formula 1 with Minardi in the 2005 season, while Rio is following the footsteps of his father, Sinyo, who has shown his talent at national level in Indonesia.

Kevin Friesacher: Kevin is 18-years-old and is racing for the second year in the ADAC Formel Masters, a German championship featuring cars using Dallara chassis and 1.6 litre Volkswagen engines. There, he was already worthy of notice in 2008, after recording two race wins, but this year he is running for the championship title, and is currently fourth with two rounds to go. Up to now, he has clinched two second places, three third places, a pole-position (in Hockenheim) and two fastest laps. Besides being naturally fast, he has shown a great consistency, a strong attribute for a driver who is only at his second season in open-wheel car racing.

Rio Haryanto: Rio is 16-years-old and started racing in karting when he was only 8, in 2001. After winning the Indonesian national championship, he debuted in open-wheel racing in 2008, racing both in Formula Asia 2.0 and Formula Renault Asia. During the season, he was able to win an outstanding eight races, finished second five times and third a further three times. In 2009, until now, he has been racing in Formula Renault Asia and Formula BMW Pacific. In this last championship he has clinched six race wins, and sits at the top of the driver's classification.

At Monza the Scuderia Coloni cars will race with the new livery showing the colours of the new title sponsor, PartyPokerRacing.com.
