Formula BMW Pacific finale shaping up as best ever.

Macau, China - With a record field of 28 of some of the world's most talented junior single-seater drivers, the Formula BMW Pacific finale is gearing up to be one of the most competitive races in series history, as Round 15 supports the Macau Grand Prix for the third year in a row.

The annual Macau spectacular is one of the most anticipated race meetings of the year, and as all but four of the drivers attempt to conquer the legendary 6.2km Guia street circuit for the first time, they will need to call upon every ounce of talent to meet its challenges.

The track knowledge gained over the weekend could prove invaluable in their future careers. Six of the 30 drivers in this year's headline Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix, the FIA F3 Intercontinental Cup, will have the benefit of experience having raced with Formula BMW Pacific in previous seasons, including last year's race winner Will Buller and third-place finisher Ryo Haryanto, the 2009 Formula BMW Pacific champion.

With Richard Bradley (SIN/19) and Eurasia Motorsport having wrapped up the Drivers Classification, Rookie Cup and Team titles during the last two rounds in support of the FIA World Touring Car Championship, the Singapore-based driver has nothing to lose as he attempts to prove himself in Macau. Meanwhile, Oscar Tunjo (COL/Meritus) the Drivers Classification and Rookie Cup runner-up will look to finish his season in winning form after he was taken out of Round 14 while leading the race.

Formula BMW Pacific Junior Jordan Oon (AUS/20/E-Rain Racing) will be on the hunt to secure third place ahead of Calvin Wong (MAL/18/PETRONAS Mofaz Racing), who is just one point behind. Wong, Dustin Sofyan (INA/16/Eurointernational) and guest drivers Jim Ka To (HKG/25/Champ Motorsport) and Tomoki Nojiri (JPN/21/Eurointernational) are the only four drivers to have previously competed on the Guia Circuit, with Sofyan finishing sixth and Jim fifth in last year's race.

Fellow Formula BMW Pacific Juniors Jesse Dixon (AUS/17/Atlantic Racing Team) and Kotaro Sakurai (JPN/15/Eurasia Motorsport) will both be out to take their first wins of the season.

Ten guest drivers will compete in the finale, including Macau drivers Ivo Yiu (27/Champ Motorsport) and Un Wai Kai (28/Champ Motorsport) and Hong Kong driver William Cheung Wang Chi (Atlantic Racing Team). Formula BMW Europe driver Carlos Sainz Junior (ESP/16/Eurointernational) will compete at Macau for the first time, while Japan's Yuichi Nakayama (18/Asia Racing Team) will look to capitalize on the momentum gained in Okayama, where he earned a podium finish in just his second-ever Formula BMW Pacific race.
