After the fifth round of the 2015 Ferrari Challenge North America season, the Fort Lauderdale team is pushing towards the championship.

In the main class, John Farano sits third in the points standings but needs to make up 78 points in the next three rounds to take the crown. He will have an advantage when the series heads to Mont Tremblant though, as team owner Ron Vogel explained to Motorsport.com.

"We're off to Mont Tremblant in a couple weeks to test and work on our setup to get the cars ready for the next race. And Mosport is Faranao's home track. He must have 5,000 laps around that track."

Their weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park went without victories, but Faranao was able to score two podiums in the pro class, finishing second in Race 1 and third in Race 2.

No. 8 closing in on Am title

On the Am side, the No. 8 Motorsport.com machine continues to blaze a path towards the title, currently holding an 18 point advantage over the closest rival. The No. 8 brought home results of fourth and second in class. The fantastic look of the car can be attributed to SkinzWraps, a company headed by Peter C. Slaverry and who was responsible for wrapping the car.

"I think, overall, we had a good weekend," continued Vogel. "No P1s but the Motorsport.com No. 8 did really well, keeping the lead in the championship. Had a rough qualifying on Saturday, but we did well. At that track, it's difficult to pass but it was a good run."
