As reported by Motorsport.com earlier this year, the Sochi Autodrom will not be part of the schedule and will be replaced by a race in Baku.

The season will kick off in Barcelona on May 13-15 and will close in Abu Dhabi on November 25-27.

The calendar also confirms the return of Sepang for the first time since 2013.

"This year again, our calendar is a mix of racing on Formula 1 circuits in Europe and flyaway venues with the addition of Baku and the return of Sepang – two prestigious tracks," said series boss Bruno Michel.

"Working on this season's events, we paid close attention to costs control in order to help our teams maintain a sustainable economic model.

"I believe we have reached the perfect balance and our drivers will be able to learn as many F1 tracks as possible in front of the F1 paddock."

Pre-season testing will take place in Barcelona on March 9-11 and at Jerez on March 29-31.
