Trident driver Ghiotto led ART’s Esteban Ocon, sweeping across the grid to cover the inside at Turn 1.

Emil Bernstorff tried a bold bid around the outside, and looked to have sealed second but then ran wide at Turn 2 as Ghitto had a big slide, and dropped to third back behind Ocon.

Ghiotto led Ocon, Bernstorff, Marvin Kirchhofer and Matt Parry as a safety car was required from the start of lap two after Zaid Ashkanani went over the back of a slowing Jann Mardenborough at the final corner.

Ghiotto managed the restart well, but a lap after that, Kirchhofer jumped Bernstorff for third in a move that started at Turn 1 and was completed at Turn 2.

That was it for action at the front, as Ghiotto extended a 3.5s lead over Ocon to score his second win of the season.

Kirchhofer, Bernstorff and Parry ran nose-to-tail behind them, with Jimmy Eriksson and Kevin Ceccon next up. Antonio Fuoco, Pal Varhaug and Matheo Tuscher rounded off the top 10 finishers.
