In his second season with the Finnish squad, Parry is confident that the team is firmly in the same league as frontrunning GP3 outfits ART Grand Prix and Arden.
"I have no doubt we will be fighting for the title," said Parry to Motorsport.com. "There are several drivers and a couple of teams I believe will our main competitiors.
"Like ART, Arden, Trident and DAMS, all of which are top teams, and their drivers, I think I'll be expecting to fight them for the title.
"And not to forget about my teammates [Matevos Isaakyan, Ralph Boschung and Mahaveer Raghunathan], who also have been impressive in testing," he added.
The former Caterham Academy driver is very confident of his own speed in pre-season events - and believes he is among the three quickest drivers in the category.
"In Estoril we struggled a bit with qualifying pace, but from there we were fastest in Valencia and the fourth overall in Barcelona.
"The team, they have done a brilliant job. Of course, it's a bit unknown because testing is testing, but I would say we are within the top three."
Pleased with pre-season build-up
In 2015, Parry clinched three podiums while the team finished fourth in the standings.
For 2016, the British driver thinks that Koiranen GP is in better shape to challenge for the title. "Things are looking really positive," he said.
"As a team we have had a fantastic build up, having most of the drivers make it inside the top 10 in every session, which says it all.
"I’m really please how we have developed the car, I am going into round one knowing we have one of the fastest cars on the grid."
Likewise, on a personal level, the 22-year-old feels much more prepared than last year. "Personally, for me the experience is going to be invaluable this season
"I learn so much last season from the team, especially Jan [Sumann, race engineer], I have approached this season so much more methodically.
"I know the team well; how they work and they know how I work, which means this year, I believe we can get the maximum out of both."
