Koiranen GP returnee Matt Parry topped the second day of GP3's Valencia test, with three ART Grand Prix drivers following close behind.

Parry overtook Honda protege Nirei Fukuzumi and Ferrari junior Charles Leclerc in the closing stages of the wet-dry morning session, his new benchmark of 1m21.476s representing an improvement of almost three tenths on Artur Janosz's best time from Day 1.

And Janosz was among the six drivers who surpassed that time on Friday, slotting in fifth - behind the ART trio of Fukuzumi, Leclerc and Alex Albon and ahead of McLaren junior Nyck de Vries, yet another driver running for the reigning champion squad.

The same drivers then continued to run the show in the afternoon, with Fukuzumi and Parry occupying the top spot before it was taken over by Leclerc.

The Monegasque's time of 1m22.089s would go unmatched in the final hour of testing, albeit DAMS driver Jake Hughes did move to within a tenth of Leclerc.

Parry settled for third, him and teammate Ralph Boschung, who had caused a red flag in the morning, split by Haas F1 development driver Santino Ferrucci.
