As reported by Motorsport.com after the Silverstone round, the 18-year-old will be supported by Indian two-wheeler giant TVS, in his quest to reach to Formula 1.

Aniruddha Halder, VP Marketing, TVS said: “TVS Motors has long promoted motorsports in India. As TVS Racing, we are India’s oldest 2 wheeler factory racing team.

"We believe India is under represented in the International motorsports arena. Last year we were the first Indian manufacturer ever in the Dakar Rally.

"In keeping with that spirit, we are supporting Arjun, who we believe will be an Indian star in International Motorsports.

"GP3 is the beginning we are happy to be associated with Arjun Maini for the long haul. We expect to leverage this association across the TVS Motors footprint in over 50 countries," he added.

Since switching from European Formula 3 to GP3 with Jenzer, Maini has notched up two reverse-grid poles and also his maiden podium in Hungary's sprint race in four races.

“I am happy and delighted to partner with TVS Motor Company. This association reflects the growing attention that motorsports is receiving in India," said Maini upon signing.

"I have had a good start to the GP3 season and the support from TVS will encourage me to do better.

"TVS Racing, with its rich racing heritage, has been working towards cultivating interest and enthusiasm for motorsports in the country.

"TVS Racing has been a pioneer and the first factory racing team in India. I look forward to exciting times ahead.”

While TVS is a prominent name in the two-wheeler and rally scene, the company makes an interesting foray into single-seater racing associating with Maini.
