2000: Winter Series races Magione

Good result, yesterday the 26th of November, in the Perugia's track of Magione for the Prema guys where there were the first two races of the Formula Renault 2000 Winter series. Ryan Briscoe, Australian's driver at his first racing car experience, finished second on the second race: ".. I'm very happy for the team and for me. All together we have made a good job. In the first race I didn't finish for a contact with another driver after only three laps when I was 7th. In the start the poleman Francesco Ippoliti spin in front of me and I had to stop the car and restart. In the second one all the thing were be so good. I made a good start, the second in my racing career, staying in my qualifying position behind the leader Francesco Ippoliti. It could be easy making mistake for the bad weather and track condition. Now this isn't time to relax; I have to make till a lot of experience. My next racing appointment will be the Renault final race in Valencia (Spain) always with Prema where I will try to upgraded myself..".

Other good result is made from Ryan's teammate Cesar Campanico. He arrived third in the second race after starting in eight positions: "..I'm not very happy for the first race because I could win the race if I didn't make a mistake. In the second race I started from the 4th row and after the first lap I was in the first positions. After some laps I overtook the championship leader Benjamin Leuberger till I was 3rd. I wanted to finish the race for me and also for championship ranking. The car was so good, in fact I made the fastest lap..".

All the team was so happy for the result, first of all the Team Manager Angelo Rosin that following the upgraded of the event in a constant telephone contact. (He was in South Korea for the formula 3 Korean Super Prix, the last international races of 2000): "..It was important starting in a good manner we was able to do this; we are leader in the Formula Renault 2000 Italian championship with Ronnie Quintarelli, we have two young drivers in Winter Series, now it is the time to pick up what we have sown. I had to do the compliment to the entire Formula Renault group . They are able to organise the job when two cars were accident. They made an excellent job..".
