Ludwig Ghidi came to Hockenheim for his first race in the Formula Renault Northern European Cup (NEC) and was happy to find himself in front during both Free Practice sessions right at the beginning of the event that was part of the Hockenheim Historic Races.

During Qualifying he managed to put his car on the pole position, which he lost afterwards due to a tecnical irregularity. The rules for camber adjustment had been changed only little over a week prior to the event and it turned out that Ludwig had 0,2 (!!!) degrees to much of negative camber which got him the penalty of moving 5 places back on the grid to 6th.

Starting the first race from 6th position Ludwig was really eager to get back to the front and to hopefully finish on the podium. Due to a problem at the start Liroy Stuart (NL) and slower starts from Tony Kowalewski (D) and Jakub Smiechowski (PL) Ludwig made it into 3rd place during the first lap. After that he delivered fierce battles with Mikkel Mac (DK) and Julian Eisenreich (D) and made it into first position which he then managed to maintain till the end, getting him the first win for him and his team KEO Racing (DK) in the NEC.

The 2nd race was started from Pole Position as the penalty was only implied for the first race.

Ludwig unchained his potential and moved away from his opponents by about a second a lap, setting also the fastest lap during the race which he also did in race 1.

Heading to Brno for the 2nd Round of the NEC with testing already starting on Thursday, Ludwig does not have a whole loto f time to relax^a and nor does the team from KEO Racing as they will make all possible efforts to prepare Ludwig's car to be in top condition again.

Ludwig would like to thank Kim Olsen, the owner at KEO Racing, Morten Jensen and Jonas Sunderby his mechanics as well as his engineer Jonas Jarlmark, driver coach Lars Angstrom and his sponsors for a great first weekend in the Formula Renault Northern European Cup.
