McIntosh Receives Formula Renault UK Award
Now heading to France for GP2 Test

Vancouver, Canada (November 28, 2005) -- Sean McIntosh concluded his Formula Renault UK Championship commitments on Saturday night, 26th November, as he collected the Vice-Champion's trophy at the 2005 British Touring Car Championship awards banquet at Coventry's Hilton Hotel.

The 20-year-old Vancouver-native, currently leading A1 Team Canada's charge in the inaugural A1 Grand Prix of Nations, received his trophy as the support-category honors were handed out, the young Canadian bolstering his haul of silverware which already included five first place trophies as well as three additional Formula Renault UK Championship podium prizes.

Having celebrated his 2005 regular-season achievements at the weekend, Sean's focus turns this week to 2006 and the opportunity to test a GP2 Series racecar on Thursday, 1st December at the Paul Ricard Circuit in the south of France.

McIntosh's first taste of the 580bhp GP2 Dallara-Renault comes courtesy of David Price Racing, the British-based team collecting victories at Silverstone and Hockenheim with France's Olivier Pla as the GP2 Series replaced International Formula 3000 at the start of the year as Formula One's official feeder series.

Looking back on 2005 and ahead to this week's GP2 test Sean said:

"I was thrilled to collect my trophy on Saturday night and to share in what's been another fantastic year of racing in the Formula Renault UK Championship. I have learned so much in this series and I am proud to have been competing for Team Firstair. Everyone worked really hard to support me all year. I'd especially like to thank all of the Formula Renault staff members, my engineer Chris Gorne, mechanic Andy Parker and team manager Russell Smith. Most of all I can't thank Team Owner Ian Barnwell enough for all he's done to support and help further my career these past two years.

"I'm really looking forward to sampling the GP2 car at Paul Ricard on Thursday. I've followed the series closely and its association with Formula One has already benefited several drivers. David Price Racing has a winning pedigree and I'm grateful for the opportunity to test with the team in France."

Following this week's GP2 test Sean returns to race action for A1 Team Canada in the sixth round of the A1 Grand Prix of Nations, hosted at the Dubai Autodrome in the UAE, 9th-11th December.
