WHEN: April 30, May 1-2, 1999 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

WHERE: Laguna Seca Raceway, 1021 Monterey-Salinas Highway (Highway 68)

THE CIRCUIT: 2.238 mile, 11 turn road course

PROMOTER: The Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP) President-Bill Reichmuth General Manager-John Stornetta

WHO: The top motorcycle road racers in America led by three-time AMA National Superbike Champion Doug Chandler, of Salinas; defending Honda Challenge of Laguna Seca Champion and ’95 Series winner Miguel Duhamel; Defending Series Champ Ben Bostrum; five-time Daytona winner Scott Russell; 250GP legend Rich Oliver; and international hot shots Australia’s Mat Mladin and Anthony Gobert, and Canadian Steve Crevier.

SUPPORT EVENTS: Pro Honda Oils 600 SuperSport, Lockhart Phillips USA 750 SuperSport, AMA Mazda Trucks 250 Grand Prix, Sunoco Race Fuels Formula Xtreme, Progressive Insurance Pro Thunder, SRA Sidecar and stunt show.

ECONOMIC IMPACT: The Honda Challenge of Laguna Seca has an economic impact of approximately $7 million.
