CMA Silverstone earns MIA award

CMA Off To A Winning Start In 2011

Silverstone, Northamptonshire (UK) -- Monday, January 17, 2011; The 2011 racing season got off to a sterling start for CMA at Birmingham's Autosport International Show last week as the agency was awarded the prestigious Service to the Industry Award during the Motorsport Industry Association's (MIA) annual awards dinner.

First presented in 1995, the MIA Business Excellence Awards were created to recognise excellence at all levels within the motorsport and high performance engineering industry. All companies operating in the motorsport industry are eligible for the sought-after awards. As nominations and votes are made by MIA members, the awards are seen as a mark of recognition from industry peers and therefore especially meaningful for the winners.

An audience of 500 senior executives from the international motorsport community witnessed CMA Silverstone director Geoff Cook accept the award. "We were already delighted to be nominated, as it shows that our motorsport clients like and appreciate the work we do, so to actually win the award is fantastic," said Geoff.

"We take a lot of pride in the work we deliver and to be recognised by the motorsport industry like this is tremendous and we're absolutely over the moon. With our new office at Silverstone we are looking to further build on the work that we are already doing in motorsport, and we're very excited about the future."

The MIA awards evening also brought success to one of CMA's clients with world-leading transmission technology specialists Xtrac winning the 'Business of the Year' gong. Also renowned as the marketing force behind additional motorsport industry heavyweights such as AP Racing and Lifeline Fire and Safety, CMA further assisted the British Racing & Sports Car Club (BRSCC) in promoting its various championships at Europe's biggest motorsport show.
