Eddie Leavitt passed away at 3:45 A.M. Sunday Jan. 26. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in Sept. of 2001. He fought the good fight as only he could! We are deeply saddened at this time, however, we are finding greatcomfort in the calls & visits from all of Dad's true friends from the racing community.
Eddie Leavitt won the Knoxville Nationals in '75 and '76 and is in the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville IA.
Services will be held at Fry Funeral Home in Kearney, MO. with visitation 7-9 P.M. on Tuesday, Jan. 28th and a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, Jan. 29th.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame or the Eddie Leavitt Memorial Fund.
Sincerely,
@Eddie Leavitt Jr.
Mary Leavitt-Saunders
