All the drivers were plagued with heavy rain in the morning and the changing conditions in the afternoon on Saturday.
Satoshi Motoyama put a '96 Primera on the pole position in the dying seconds of the morning timed session.
In the less wet second session, the former F3 front runner Ryo Michigami placed his Michelin shod '96 Accord on pole for the round two.
Sunday was worse, a total washout in typical Fuji fashion. As a result the both races were called off.
