MIAMI – (Sept. 8, 2015) Motorsport.com today announced the appointment of veteran motorsports journalist David Malsher as Editor of Motorsport.com – US.

Malsher has spent the last eight years with Racer and racer.com, where he led the company’s monthly motorsports magazine and website, serving as its Editor. He has also eight years of previous experience on the staff at renowned UK publications Autosport and Motor Sport.

In his new role, Malsher will lead all content direction for Motorsport.com’s US platform and report directly to Editor in Chief, Charles Bradley. He will be based out of Corona, CA. and his primary race weekend focus will be the Verizon IndyCar Series.

Extending North America racing coverage

“The addition of David to our editorial staff at Motorsport.com reinforces our commitment to industry-leading coverage of all forms of auto racing in North America,” said Bradley. “Having had the privilege to work alongside David for many years prior to Motorsport.com, I was always impressed with his journalistic abilities, editing skills and his capacity to lead a team.

“He will be a great asset to our American operation, and will take our US open-wheel coverage to even greater heights to complement the expert talents we already boast on our NASCAR reporting team.”

Malsher joins Motorsport.com at a pivotal time in the company’s growth where the US market includes its largest audience by country, with year-over-year audience representing over 35 percent of all worldwide traffic figures.

The fastest-growing motorsports website in the world, Motorsport.com is a technically advanced digital distribution platform, which provides worldwide, multimedia coverage resulting in over 180 countries this year.

“Motorsport.com has proved itself as the new premier destination for motorsports news content,” Malsher said. “It is very clear the editorial powerhouse that they have established under Charles Bradley’s stewardship, and I’m very humbled to lead their very talented team of journalists in providing the quality of content expected by readers in the US.”

Today’s news follows the recent significant editorial hires, including Motosport.com NASCAR Editor Jim Utter, formerly of the Charlotte Observer and F1 Editor Jonathan Noble, also formerly from Autosport.

Malsher will join Motorsport.com on September 21.
