27 cars of the German F3 championship were testing last wednesday at the Nurburgring. A test mainly concentrated on new slick tyres brought by the Yokohama factory from Japan. The session went very well for roman italian ace Enrico Toccacelo, securing an excellent 1.04.000 to the fifth place, behind Loterrer - on pole with a 1.03.332 time. Belgian rookie Philip Cloostermans got his own best times with a nice 1.04.025 bringing him the seventh place on the session.
Angelo Rosin team manager commented: we have done an excellent job due to the weather conditions always critical at the Eifelring, we tried diverse solutions of settings and the response were coming positively from our drivers. We are now preparing for a very tough week-end battling on both fields: Sachsenring for Toccacelo and the Marlboro Masters for Philip Cloostermans. We will fight for the win, like always.
