PATRICK HUISMAN JOINS KONRAD MOTORSPORT FOR 2010 PORSCHE SUPERCUP!

THE NETHERLANDS, MARCH 09 2010 - Patrick Huisman is proud to announce he will join the 2010 Mobil 1 Porsche Supercup starting grid after having teamed up with current champions Konrad Motorsport. Next weekend's season opener at the Bahrain International Circuit will herald the four-times champion's 15th season behind the wheel of a brand new Porsche 911 GT3. After having won the 2007 season finale at Spa-Francorchamps for Konrad Motorsport, Huisman is happy to join Franz Konrad's team for a second time, while eyeing another successful campaign together this year!

After having won the drivers crown last year and two team championship in the last two years, Konrad Motorsport is naturally regarded as one of the favorites for the 2010 season, even though it's champion Jeroen Bleekemolen has moved on to another squad. The experience of Patrick Huisman combined with the raw talent of his two junior team mates Nick Tandy and Siso Cunill should guarantee a spectacular and another successful season for the team, based in Verl (Germany).

During the winter period Huisman was expected to stay at SPS Performance for a second season, but after the team had to be closed down due to the economic downturn, the 43-year old Dutchman had to look elsewhere in order to get on this year's starting grid. Konrad Motorsport's team owner Franz Konrad didn't hesitate a second to offer Huisman a drive, and after having successfully completed a shake-down at Hockenheim last week, the Dutch ace is now fully fit and motivated to return his team boss' faith with good results.

PATRICK HUISMAN: "I'm really grateful to Franz Konrad for offering me this great opportunity. A couple of weeks ago, things didn't look so bright anymore for me after SPS Performance decided to pull out of the series. But thanks to Franz and Tudor Watches I'm now fully back on track... with the best team on the grid! This year's championship already looks to become a stunning one as the car has undergone a series of improvements and we're having a full grid (26 cars) for most of the races. I'm happy to join forces with Nick Tandy and Siso Cunill as both of them hey proved to be very fast last year. I'm sure the three of us will deliver some good results from the start of the season as well as be able to develop the car during the season as we will push each other very hard. I'm really looking forward getting behind the wheel again this weekend in Manama!"
