Todd Senneker, the 2001 Berlin Raceway Sportsman Rookie of the Year, died in a snowmobile accident on Friday, February 1. He was killed when his snowmobile ran off a trail and struck a tree at about 8:30 p.m. in Luce County's McMillan Township in the eastern Upper Peninsula, state police said.
The 20-year old was a 1999 graduate of Wayland Union High School. He graduated in the top 10 in his class and was attending Grand Rapids Community College, working toward a degree in engineering.
Todd was the youngest driver in a family rich with racing tradition. His brother, 22-year-old Terry Jr., was the 2001 Berlin Raceway Late Model Rookie of the Year.
