Team Brute Strength drivers James Brock and Gavin Harvey have taken out the Great Aussie Ute Race at Sandown International Motor Raceway. With three races up for grabs on the final day, the team was successful in securing a winning result.

Great Aussie Ute Race 1 was a gruelling race on a slightly slippery track, which saw thrills and spills. From starting in eighth position, Brock moved five positions to lock up the race in third behind Stephen Robinson and Rod Wilson. Brock's fastest lap was clocked as 1:28.54

Great Aussie Ute Race 2 had Gavin Harvey starting 3rd on the grid and proved to be another close race from start to finish. The hunt for positions fourth, fifth and sixth was on offer with a great tusstle between Harvey and Miedecke. The Team was able to set up a front grid position for the final race. Harvey's fastest lap was clocked as 1:29.65.

Great Aussie Ute Race 3, being the final race for the weekend with the drivers undertaking driver changes, provided a winning combination for Team Brute Strength. Harvey started the race in second position only to immediately take the lead, setting the Team up with a comfortable win. Brock took the final reigns to bring the race home. The spectacular race of nine laps saw the Brock and Harvey combination strong once again as they completely dominated the race and lead the Team Brute Strength Holden Ute to victory at Sandown 500.

Brock Team Brute Strength will start to undertake preparations for Round 7 at Phillip Island from the 20th September.

Team Brute Strength will be running 2 utes in 2003 with Brock and Harvey if suitable sponsorship can be found.
