Brute Strength survive brutal crashes.

Team Brute Strength are in damage control mode after severe crashes brought the Series opener in Adelaide to an end.

Both Brute Strength drivers Gavin Harvey and Gary Young were visibly shaken after heavy impact with the wall at turn three. Harvey fared the worst suffering broken ribs and severe bruising but was released from Royal Adelaide after being cleared of any internal injury.

Harvey said, "Apart from being a little stiff I will be looking forward to getting back on track."

The Brute Strength Holdens on the other hand weren't so fortunate. Both cars were completely destroyed upon impact. If not for the combination of Holden product and safety barrier walls the outcome for both drivers could have been a lot worse.

The Brute Strength Holden's performance was never in question all weekend with both Young and Harvey on the pace from the outset. Young recorded the fasted time of the Brute Strength drivers and was placed in the top ten in the first two races.

Young said, "The Brute Strength Holden was very quick and all things going to plan with the re-build we will be looking forward to the two car assault at Symmons Plains in Tasmania."

Team Spokesman Pete Jones said, " Not only is the Holden product far superior to its competition in performance but, also streets ahead in design and safety features with both cars performing exactly to Holden's strict safety standards after heavy contact with the wall."

They have been successfully tested with 36,000kg impacting at 15 degrees at 86km/hr.
