Vallelunga, Italy - Friday 31st August 2001: The Lanesra Racing entered Panoz LMP1 Roadster of Richard Dean and Gary Formato was the quickest car during the two hour test session ahead of the fifth and final round of the European Le Mans Series at the magnificent Autodromo Vallelunga near Rome.
The GTS class battle was fought between the two Saleens of RML and Konrad Motorsport with the British pairing of Ian McKellar Jnr and Chris Goodwin posting the second fastest time of the session in their RML S7R.
The LMP675 Didier Bonnet Racing Debora was only fifth fastest behind the Paco Orti Racing Porsche 911 of Paco Orti and Wolfgang Kaufmann. They head up the GT class, just 0.137 seconds ahead of Round 4 GT class victors Mike Youles and Robin Liddell in the PK Sport Porsche.
Combined Qualifying Practice will take place at 11:15 (Local Time) for a one hour session with Official Qualifying for Sundays two and three quarter hour race starting at 15:30 (local) for all cars.
