Alex Job Racing has all-star lineup for 2013 Daytona 24 Hour event

TAVARES, Fla. - WeatherTech Racing has assembled an all-star line-up of drivers to compete for the GT Class win at the GRAND-AM Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona to run Jan. 26-27.

The international driving team will take part in the Roar Before the 24 at Daytona International Speedway Jan. 4-6.

Cooper MacNeil, 2012 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) GTC driver champion is joined by fellow GTC Champion Jeroen Bleekemolen, Porsche standout Damien Faulkner and Porsche Factory Driver Marco Holzer.

MacNeil also has several wins in the Ferrari Challenge Series and keeps his competitive edge sharp by running in SCCA regional events.

Bleekemolen raced with MacNeil and AJR at Road America in 2012. The result was pole position and a commanding race win. He won the 2011 and 2010 ALMS GTC driver championships.

The Dutchman won the 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 Class in 2008 and is the 2009 Porsche Supercup Champion.

Damien Faulkner rose through the ranks of racing with his start in open-wheels. The Irishman won several British single-seater titles. He made the switch to sportscars in 2000.

In 2005 and 2006 he won the Porsche Carrera Great Britain title and was vice champion in 2007, 2008 and 2009. He made his American Le Mans debut in 2011 with wins at Sebring and Long Beach, as well as adding a second win at Long Beach in 2012.

Marco Holzer is a Porsche Factory driver who came up through the Formula BMW ranks. In 2008, he was on the UPS Porsche Cup Junior team where he posted a win at Hockenheim and finished an impressive fifth in the driver standings.

Won the 24 Hours of Dubai overall in 2010. Was a co-driver in the now-famous debut in 2011 of the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid at the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring - lead most of the race overall.

The young German won five races in the International GT Open championship in Europe in 2012. In addition, he had several starts over the last couple seasons with the Flying Lizard team in ALMS.

Alex Job has assembled an international driver line-up that is hungry to win the coveted Rolex Daytona watches awarded to the winners at the end of 24 hours of racing.

"We have a lot of Porsche experience and speed in the car for this year," Job said. "Neither of the four drivers has won at Daytona, which I think is a real motivator for these young guys.

With a young group of racers that are hungry, it is our job to harness that excitement and manage it over the 24 hours. Speed won't be issue. It doesn't get much better than this at Daytona. We have a lot of expectations for late January."

The 2013 GRAND-AM Rolex Series kicks-off with the Roar Before the 24 test at Daytona International Speedway Jan. 4-6, with the Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona going off Jan. 26-27.

Alex Job Racing is one of the most successful teams in sports car racing with 67 wins (since 1995), including a 1999 Rolex 24 GT Class win. This record is supported by 48 pole positions and 106 podium finishes.

Developed for Porsche's one-make series around the world, the new version of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is based on the road-going 911 GT3 RS.

The power unit featured in the new 911 GT3 Cup is largely identical to the production engine of the 911 GT3 RS with the same output of 450 bhp and the same maximum engine speed of 8,500 rpm.
