INDIANAPOLIS (July 23, 2012) – The No. 10 SunTrust Corvette Dallara DP of Wayne Taylor Racing and co-drivers Max Angelelli and Ricky Taylor will sport a special paint scheme for the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series’ most highly anticipated event in recent memory, Friday’s inaugural Brickyard Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

StarPort, which since 2000 has provided a wide range of business aviation services from its headquarters at the Orlando-Sanford (Fla.) International Airport, will take center stage aboard the speedy SunTrust Racing prototype for the three-hour Rolex Series race on the historic Speedway’s 2.534-mile, 13-turn Formula 1 road circuit. The Rolex Series event kicks off what’s touted as Super Brickyard Weekend headlined by Sunday’s 19th annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Brickyard 400, and also features Saturday’s inaugural NASCAR Nationwide Series race on the Speedway’s 2.5-mile oval.

“It’s the first weekend of its kind ever held at the Speedway in Indy and we wanted to make the absolute most of it in every way possible for the very special team of people who work at StarPort,” said Nelson Cambata, StarPort’s founder and Chief Executive Officer and a longtime supporter of team owner Wayne Taylor and his sons Ricky and Jordan. “StarPort is an employee-driven company and we identified Brickyard Grand Prix weekend as a special employee appreciation event for our staff. Like racing, StarPort operates in an incredibly fast-paced and high-tech industry where our team relies on the very same virtues as our racing team counterparts in order to succeed – deep technical knowledge and expertise, speed, precision and, above all, teamwork. And it will be truly exciting to see the beautiful SunTrust Racing Corvette DP sporting StarPort livery at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”

The one-off paint scheme for the No. 10 racecar at Indy will feature StarPort’s signature blue adorning the prototype’s roof and rear engine cover, as well as prominent positioning of StarPort “globe” logo on the car’s front and sidepods.

“Nelson has been a dear friend and a huge supporter of my racing career and that of my sons Ricky and Jordan, so we are extremely proud to be hosting Nelson and his StarPort crew for what promises to be a truly special racing event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said Wayne Taylor, the three-time sports car racing champion whose Indianapolis-based team has been a perennial championship contender since joining the Rolex Series in 2004. “It’s going to be a historic weekend in many respects, and we hope we can help make it a truly memorable one for StarPort and all of our partners. We are certainly due for a win, and to do it in our very own backyard in the first race ever at the Speedway in Indy would be absolutely incredible.”

Angelelli and Ricky Taylor, who co-drove to back-to-back victories at Homestead-Miami Speedway in April and New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville in May, will bring some significant momentum to the inaugural Brickyard Grand Prix. The 22-year-old Taylor clocked the fastest lap (1 minute, 23.962 seconds at 108.649 mph) during the July 6-7 Rolex Series test that drew 34 Daytona Prototype and GT-class competitors to the two-day event on the Speedway road circuit. Angelelli and Taylor, in their third season together, have combined for six wins and 17 podium finishes in 29 races, and Taylor has qualified on the pole nine times.
