CB Motorsports / DLGL Software Add Terry Borcheller For The Glen

The #15 CB Motorsports / DLGL Software Pontiac-Riley will bring in some powerful driving support for this weekend's Crown Royal 250 at Watkins Glen. With the recent announcement by Bell Motorsports that they may be forced to miss a race or two on the remaining Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series schedule this season, veteran sports car pilot Terry Borcheller suddenly found himself without a ride for this weekend's race. Enter Chris Bingham and John Petherbridge.

Team Owner and driver Bingham: "Terry Borcheller will be driving for CB Motorsports this weekend, co-driving with Hugo Guenette. I have some pressing business commitments and so I have to miss this race. It is a true case of racing luck that Terry became available and I was ecstatic that he accepted my offer to drive in my place!"

Team Manager John Petherbridge: "Given that Chris would be absent this weekend, we initially had Jacques and Hugo Guenette scheduled to drive. However, just this week Jacques also had some last minute business conflicts arise that were going to prevent him from attending this race. Whilst I considered my options, on a hope and a prayer we called Terry to inquire whether he would be able to drive for the CB Motorsports team at the Glen. "

Bingham: "I know it will feel a bit weird to watch the race on TV, but if I couldn't be behind the wheel, I couldn't be happier than to have Terry driving in my place. Terry has been a friend of mine for many years. I value his expertise, and I trust he will do an excellent job filling in. And, to be honest, we have been finding our way this season and I welcome his opinions and advice about our car and our operation. I know that his opinions and suggestions will be of real value to us as we continue to work towards a complete state of readiness for the 2006 season."

Borcheller is a 6-time champion in professional sportscar racing, having won in IMSA Speedvision Cup, SCCA Speed World Challenge, Grand AM Rolex Sports Car (2000 - GTO class), IMSA American Le Mans series and in two additional classes with the Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series (2001 & 2003). At the start of the 2005 racing season, Borcheller had racked up 57 wins in 7 different series at nearly two dozen race circuits. Besides his season long ride with the Bell Motorsports - Kodak Racing team in Grand Am, he also drives the Acemco Saleen S7R in the American Le Mans Series, recently coming oh-so-close to a win against the all-conquering GM Corvettes at Mosport Park in Canada.

Borcheller: "I was surprised to get a call from Chris. I'm excited about driving a Riley. Chris and I have known each other for years and it will be fun to drive for his team this weekend."

Bingham: "Terry is really going to have a full plate this week as he will be testing in the Acemco Saleen at Road Atlanta on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He is going to break away long enough -- he is flying in to Watkins Glen on Friday night - to run the race with us on Saturday and then fly right back to Atlanta to finish testing. We are very fortunate to have him with us/"

The Crown Royal 250 at the Glen will take place this Saturday at 3:00 PM. Fans can watch the race live on SPEED channel.
