CITGO Racing Celebrates The End of a Successful
Drivers' Duno and Wallace Finish Third in Team Championship

November 5, 2004 - CITGO Racing put the finishing touches on a fantastic 2005 Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series campaign at the season-ending celebration in Las Vegas, Nevada on Nov. 1. With two victories this year, CITGO drivers' Milka Duno and Andy Wallace finished #3 in the overall Team Championship standings. In addition, Wallace wrapped up the year ranked #3 in the Driver Point Standings, and Duno finished just behind him in 5th position.

"First of all, I'd like to sincerely thank CITGO for the opportunity to be a part of this race team," said Duno. "It's been such an honor for me to drive the #2 CITGO Pontiac Crawford Daytona Prototype car this season and I'm overwhelmed by the success we've had in such a competitive league like the Rolex Series. Our success this season speaks volumes for the future of this team and I'm already looking forward to taking to the track in 2005."

CITGO Racing had much to celebrate at the season-ending banquet at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas this week. Not only did the team finish third in the championship, but the #2 CITGO Pontiac Crawford Daytona Prototype was the featured attraction on the General Motors stand at the world famous SEMA Car Show, and also in a full-page congratulatory advertisement from Pontiac in USA Today. They were also recognized by SunTrust and presented with the Most Progressive Team Award for the season.

The 2005 Grand American season was a historic one for CITGO Racing, as Milka Duno became the first woman in history to win a major sports car race in North America, when she and teammate Andy Wallace took the checkered flag at the Grand Prix of Miami to start the year. Six races later, the duo repeated their historic feat at Homestead-Miami Speedway, capturing the Miami 250 and their second win of the season.

In addition to their two race wins in 2005, Duno and Wallace posted five podium appearances, recorded 6 Top Five appearances and 10 Top Ten appearances in 12 overall races.
