Hyper Sport Prepares For 24 Hour Enduro at Daytona

Hyper Sport, as one of the newer Daytona Prototype teams is well underway to setting an impression in the 2005 Grand Am Series. Preparations are being made for the world's most prestigious, but grueling 24 hours of racing in mid-Florida this February 5th and 6th. The #9 Infiniti powered Doran and it's line-up of talented drivers are dressed and ready for the occasion.

Rick Skelton, Joe Foster, Blake Rosser and David Donner will pilot the DP at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona. Each driver brings a wealth of experience and skill set to the Hyper Sport team. Skelton and Foster, veterans of the 2 year old team have partnered with Rosser and Donner to share the vigorous 24 hour endurance event. Joe Foster said, "I can confidently say that the Hyper Sport group and I are thrilled to be participating in this awesome event. Our leap from ALMS to Grand Am has proven to be the right decision and the car is showing a lot of promise." Foster is a well known professional driver from Lawrenceville, Georgia and has over 18 years of professional driving experience, of which six have been in the American Le Mans Series as well as Grand Am. This will be his 4th year of participation in the Rolex 24 Hour event.

Team owner, Rick Skelton, a Real Estate Developer in Atlanta, Georgia has been racing since college in 1989. He finished 2nd in the Panoz Pro Series Championship in 2002 and competed in a full season with Hyper Sport in the GT Class, American Le Mans Series. Skelton will be making his first start in the famous Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona. "I'm really prepared for this race and look forward to going head to head with our Daytona Prototype field of competition. This will be the first of many 24 hour races for myself and the Hyper Sport group," exclaimed Skelton.

The Infiniti Doran proved itself at the Daytona Test days at the beginning of January. Several days of running the new Infiniti motor was a definite success. The weekend also provided Blake Rosser and David Donner the opportunity to drive the car and prepare for the upcoming event.

Both Donner and Rosser have a proven track record of GT racing. Donner, a business consultant in Colorado Springs, has been racing since 1991 and finished 2nd in the historical Pike's Peak Hill Climb. As a graduate of the Panoz Racing School and contender in the Panoz Pro Series he has moved on to the Grand Am Series. In addition, Rosser has many years experience in the Skip Barber race series as well as racing go karts and formula cars. Rosser is a Real Estate Developer and resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
