Daytona 24: Live timing & scoring on series website

GrandAmerican.com to provide Zippo live timing & scoring throughout Rolex 24 at Daytona.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 23, 2003) -- Grand American Road Racing Association will provide Zippo Live Timing & Scoring on its official website - GrandAmerican.com - throughout the entire 41st Rolex 24 At Daytona event weekend, January 30 - February 2. The Zippo Live Timing & Scoring system will allow fans from around the world to track all of the racing excitement on the Internet during the races, in addition to enabling them to view the fastest times live on the web during qualifying and practice.

Zippo Live Timing & Scoring will begin on Thursday, January 30 with Rolex Series practice sessions and first round qualifying for the Rolex 24, as well as Grand-Am Cup practice and qualifying for the Daytona 250. Zippo Live Timing & Scoring will continue on Friday with Rolex Series second-round qualifying and the Grand-Am Cup Daytona 250 race.

When the green flag falls at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, February 1 to start the 41st Rolex 24 At Daytona, Zippo Live Timing & Scoring will kick off 24 straight hours of coverage of the historic road race.

SPEED Channel will provide 16 hours of live coverage of the Rolex 24 on Saturday, Feb. 1, 12:30 p.m.-9 p.m. ET, and Sunday, Feb. 2, 6 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. ET.
