Team Sahlen Fields Two Car Line-up for ROLEX 24 at Daytona

North Canton, Ohio - After an exciting Daytona Test Days earlier this month, Team Sahlen will run two cars in the 2006 Rolex 24 at Daytona. The North Canton, Ohio based team plans to enter two Porsche GT3 Cup cars for the January 29th race. This will be the 3rd year in a row the team has entered the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the team's second year running cars in the Grand Touring class.

Last year's performance brought the team a top ten finish. For 2006, the team is once again ready to produce a big finish in the black and red Sahlen's cars. With an exciting driver lineup Team Sahlen plans an excellent showing in the Rolex Grand American Grand Touring class.

Wes Allen and Manuel Matos will lead as veteran Team Sahlen drivers in the Team Sahlen No. 43 car. Eddie Hennessy and Jim Michaelian will join the team for the first time as co-drivers for Allen and Matos.

"We have very solid drivers in both of the Team Sahlen cars. In addition, we have drivers that are experienced and work hard to maintain their focus through the weekend. It is a long race and we are really focusing on the drivers and of course the consistency of the cars," stated Will Nonnamaker.

Nonnamaker will be joined by Joe Nonnamaker, Wayne Nonnamaker, and Victor Gonzalez, Jr. They will hit the track in the Team Sahlen No. 41 car. Gonzalez drove with the team on several occasions in the 2005 but this will be his first time co-driving with the entire Nonnamaker family.

Team Sahlen is an eight car team based out of North Canton, Ohio. The team is owned by the Nonnamaker family who recently relocated the team to an eight bay shop. The team competes in both the Grand American Rolex Series as well as the Grand-Am Cup Series.
