Ford Racing NASCAR driver Carl Edwards will compete in the Nationwide Series and Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series races at Montreal this weekend. Edwards will share driving duties of the No. 77 Ford Dallara with Marcos Ambrose.

HOW DID YOUR DAYTONA PROTOTYPE DEAL COME TOGETHER? "I'm really excited about running the Daytona Prototype car. It's Kevin Doran's car, and Aflac is going to be on it. It's a really cool- looking race car. We've got iRacing on the back and Au Wine. Marcos Ambrose just called me up and said, 'Hey, mate, what do you think about running at Montreal?' I said, 'That sounds pretty good.' We put it together pretty quickly, and it looks like it'll be a blast.

"It's a Saturday race. At first, I thought it was right before the Nationwide race at Montreal, but we actually run the day before it. We tested at VIR. You will have to watch really carefully for the driver change. Its, by far, the most entertaining part that we've done so far. I jumped out of the car and Marcos just kind of grabs me and drags me across the side pod along the ground, and then hops in the car. We had a good time practicing that. The cars are really fun to drive. I'm looking forward to it. It should be good."
