It's already time for the final race of the 2012 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season. What a year it has been so far for Fall-Line Motorsports who scored six podium finishes and a total of ten top 5 finishes with its three entries and only missed the top step of the podium by a few car lengths several times this season.

Lime Rock Park is one of the shortest road courses in the nation but it is one of the most popular and respected by all the best endurance racers. Top CTSCC qualifiers cover the 1.5 mile track 7-turn road course in less than 58 seconds. The Lime Rock racetrack always creates great exciting racing and unexpected finishes. The BMW M3 has always been a competitive car there, and Fall-Line Motorsports who have proudly represented the BMW brand throughout 2012 in the CSTCC hope to continue that success. They have provided the most top finishes for the brand throughout 2012 in the CTSCC.

After nine rounds of the 2012 CTSCC BMW sits 2nd in the manufacturer championship point standings and it is still possible for them to win that championship. Fall-Line will do everything they can to score maximum points for BMW next Saturday and ultimately the goal will be to put the Fall-Line cars on the podium. For this final round of the season, the GS and the ST classes will be split and will each have their own race.

Before Lime Rock the three Fall-Line Motorsports teams sit 5th (45 car), 6th (48 car), and 7th (46 car) in the CTSCC team point standings. There is still a chance for the #45 Fall-Line team to gain one spot and finish in the top four of the championship.

The drivers of the #45 SceneTap B+ Foundation M3, Al Carter and Hugh Plumb are considered locals for this race since they live only 230 miles from the track. Hugh Plumb scored podium finishes there in the past and Carter is excited about a new chance to win their first race of the season.

Following a great race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca where they finished 2nd, team owner Mark Boden and Bryan Sellers, drivers of the #46 BCKSTGR are looking forward to racing at the front of the pack again and this time both scoring a deserving victory and decisive points for BMW towards the manufacturer championship.

The last Lime Rock podium finish for Fall-Line was scored in 2010 by the #48 OMP - Safecraft BMW of Charlie Putman and Charles Espenlaub on their way to winning the 2010 CTSSC championship. Putman and Espenlaub are also ready to race hard in this final round.

The Grand-Am championship Weekend at Lime Rock presented by BMW will be held on September 28-29 at Lime Rock Park, Connecticut. The Lime Rock event is the 10th and final round of the 2012 Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. First practice is set for 10:30 AM ET on Friday and CTSCC GS qualifying for 2:15 PM ET also on Friday. The GS competitors will take the green flag of the 2.5 hour Lime Rock CTSCC race on Saturday, September 29 at 10:30 AM ET.

Car 45 Al Carter: "Heading into the final race of the 2012 season, I could not be more appreciative of all the things going on around this team. The Fall-Line crew, our engineers, the fellow team drivers, and our B+ and Scene-Tap sponsors, have all made for a memorable Continental Tire season. Intense door to door battles have been the norm, but our #45 with Hugh and me has been a podium threat in every race this year. We both like challenging the Lime Rock layout and I'd like to close out this season strong, I led most of the early part of this race last year, and expect our Fall-Line prepared BMW to be stout again."

Car 45 Hugh Plumb: "Excited to be back at Lime Rock, one of my favorite venues on the schedule. Al Carter is always fast here. With a little luck that we now deserve, we could put the #45 SceneTap B+ Foundation BMW back in the top four in the point standings."

Car 46 Mark Boden: "I am really looking forward to this final round of the season. I like Lime Rock. Fall-Line has had great results here in the past. Bryan and I finished 2nd at Laguna and this time I hope to take the #46 BCKSTGR team to the top step of the podium."

Car 46 Bryan Sellers: "I am really looking forward to Lime Rock. After such a great result in Laguna Seca we will be rolling a lot of momentum forward and will hopefully be able to take one more step up on the podium."

Car 48 Charles Putman: "Lime Rock has a well-earned reputation as a "boxing ring." Even though our GS and the ST classes will be running separately, we can still figure on a fully occupied track and thus lots of action. Considering the aggressive nature the Grand-Am field has shown this year, the tight Lime Rock track is sure to yield lots of thrills. Our main job will be to stay out of the collisions that our BMW has seemed to attract this year, while still attacking to be in position for a strong finish. The team has executed better this year than any of the competition so they deserve some recognition for all of their hard work. Even though we've found the podium a few times this year, I'd really like to bring them a win to finish off the year. We will be digging deep to try to make that reality."

Car 48 Charles Espenlaub: "Going into the last round at Lime Rock Park is exciting. Fall-Line Motorsports always gives us the best BMW possible and this should be a favorable track for us...more good results should follow."

Fall-Line Team Manager Michael Harvey: "Fall-Line Motorsports is proud to be representing BMW this weekend at Lime Rock Park for the finale of the 2012 Grand Am season. Having finished 2nd at the last two events we are hoping to go one better at BMW's home event. The tight and twisty course always represents a unique challenge and provides great racing."
