Honda Engine Approved For Grand-Am Rolex Series Competition

Margraf Racing, working in conjunction with Comptech USA, has successfully completed the approval process of a Honda engine for use in Daytona Prototypes of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. The Honda engine is a production based 24 valve, DOHC V6, displacing 3.9 liters.

A lengthy development process to ensure the balance of performance and reliability for endurance racing was spearheaded by Bill Margraf of Margraf Racing, Inc. and the engine development team at Comptech USA.

Bill Margraf is very excited about the potential of the Honda engine. "It took a little longer than we had hoped, but it was worth the wait", said Margraf. "The Honda engine showed very well on the dyno. We are now seeking a long term partner to work with so we can get the engine package on the track."
