NASCAR's Rusty Wallace helps promote Jani-King Paul Revere 250.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 5, 2002) -- Former-NASCAR Winston Cup champion Rusty Wallace gave members of the media rides around Daytona International Speedway's 3.56-mile road course on Tuesday to help promote the Jani-King Paul Revere 250. Wallace took television and print reporters on the ride of their life around the track in a 2002 Ford Mustang and Ford Thunderbird, both part of Grand American's official pace car lineup for the Rolex Series.

Wallace also slid behind the wheel of the #06 Jacobs Racing Ford-powered Riley & Scott and fired it up during the media event. Blackforest Motorsports brought the SportsRacing Prototype to the Speedway to give the media a taste of what they could look forward to when the Paul Revere 250 returns to Daytona on the Fourth of July as part of NASCAR's Pepsi 400 weekend.

Davey Jones to Race 6 Hours of The Glen

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. -- Renowned road racer Davey Jones will contest the 6 Hours of The Glen in the #91 Corvette of Paladin Racing. Jones, 39, will partner with David Rosenblum and Steven Lisa in the American GT-class Corvette. Over the years Jones has garnered numerous racing accolades including victories at the 1991 Rolex 24 At Daytona and 1996 24 hours of LeMans. He has also competed in five Indy 500s, with his best finish of second place coming in 1996. It was the closest finish in the history of the Indy 500.

Many of Jones' accomplishments have come at Watkins Glen International. He, along with co-driver John Andretti, won the Kodak Copier 500 at The Glen in 1986, the only victory that BMW had in IMSA GTP competition. Jones and Andretti also finished fifth in the Camel Continental event at The Glen, and Jones shattered the record for the fastest lap ever taken on a North American road course by blasting around Watkins Glen International's 'short' course at 150.334 mph, including the inner loop.
